Education Objectives | In order to respond to the instruction in the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, to establish an innovative mechanism of the education of lawyers, and to cultivate world-class legal talents, the European Studies: Comparative and European Law project aims to cultivate moral, intellectual, physical and artistic professionals with innovative spirit and global vision, outstanding legal professional ability, and the capability of engaging in foreign-related legal practice and researching international frontier legal theoretical issues. Specific requirements include: 1. Abiding by national constitution and laws; loving the motherland; having noble ideals, good morals, and physical and mental health; being able to understand and implement the country's foreign policy. 2. Obtaining solid basics of law, having the ability to systematically, comprehensively and accurately understand the research direction, main content, and development trend of the discipline; being familiar with the basic knowledge and skills of the related courses, and having a good understanding of the academic status and development trend of the discipline. 3. Being proficient in English, and having the ability to engage in management, legal risk prevention and legal disputes resolution and other foreign-related work and legal practices in state agencies, enterprises and institutions, well-known law firms at home and abroad, multinational corporations, etc.; acquiring a comprehensive and deep understanding of international rules and becoming competent to work in international and multinational organizations; being able to use Italian with basic Italian reading, writing and communication skills. 4. Being able to engage in legal teaching and scientific research in universities and research institutes at home and abroad; the Institute attempts to build a platform for students to go to domestic and foreign universities and research institutes to continue their studies and to lay a good foundation for students to continue their studies. 5. Education Manners |
1. Implementing the basic principles of combining theory with practice, combing unified requirements and the education of students in accordance with their aptitude; requiring the students to master the theoretical knowledge of law and to have the ability to solve practical problems. 2. Implementing the mode of combining the mentor guidance and the collective training by the mentors group, and the mode of co-education and co-teaching by Italian teachers and Chinese teachers, so that the students can not only receive the education and influence from foreign experts, but also obtain the guidance and cultivation from domestic experts. 3. Adopting a combination of systematic training and specific scientific research, a combination of interactive classroom teaching and group discussions, a combination of learning under the teacher's guidance and independent exploration by students, and a combination of theoretical study and case studies, in order to fully mobilize the students' enthusiasm for learning and research and to cultivate the students' ability to analyze independently and solve creatively problems. 4. Implementing flexible and diverse training methods such as the combination of on-campus learning and off-campus practice, requiring the students to actively participate in the work of international and multinational organizations, well-known law firms and enterprises at home and abroad to accumulate practical experience in foreign-related legal practice. 5. Graduation Requirements | 1. The students of European Studies: Comparative and European Law shall follow the relevant regulations of Sapienza University to complete the learning tasks specified in the Education Plan, obtain the specified credits, and fulfill the specified requirements for scientific research and social practice. 2. The students, who complete their studies within the prescribed training period, shall write a master thesis in English or Italian according to the master thesis requirements of Sapienza University and pass the thesis defense. | |||||||||
